Hydraulic passenger lifts are usually installed in residential buildings of up to 9 stops, with a speed ranging from 0.50 m/sec to 1.00 m/sec

Where no specific space has been provided for the machine room, the elevator's drive mechanism and panel are installed in a custom-made metallic box, or "Βoxlift", which can be installed at any place in the building.

This type of elevator can be installed quickly and has a built-in automatic rescue system.

They conform to the requirements laid down in standard ΕΝ 81-2 and in EU Directive 95/16/EC.
